Job Description

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in the assembly and integration of UAV platforms and components
Carry out basic mechanical tasks such as nuts-and-bolts assembly, bracket fitting, and payload mounting
Undertake light electrical tasks including basic soldering, cable routing, and connector assembly
Support preparation and maintenance of UAVs for trials, demonstrations, and customer deliveries
Follow work instructions, drawings, and checklists accurately and consistently
Maintain workshop tools, equipment, and a tidy work environment
Support engineers and technicians with odd jobs and ad-hoc tasks across the business
Contribute to test and inspection processes by following procedures and reporting issues clearly


YOUR PROFILE

Practical experience in an assembly, workshop, or technician role (aerospace, automotive, electronics, or similar industry preferred)
Competence with hand tools, basic power tools, and workshop equipment
Experience with soldering and basic electrical work (desirable but not essential)
An understanding of safe workshop practices
Full UK driving licence (desirable for supporting off-site trials and demos)
Good hands-on skills with strong attention to detail
Ability to follow instructions, drawings, and procedures carefully
Flexible and willing to turn a hand to a variety of tasks
Strong team player with a proactive and “can-do” attitude
Reliable, organised, and able to work to deadlines
Keen to learn and develop practical skills in a growing high-tech company


The role involves occasional international travel to meet the needs of our diverse customer base and global projects. Candidates must hold a valid passport and be prepared to travel within the UK frequently to support trials, demonstrations, and customer engagements.

Applicants must be able to provide proof of identity, eligibility to work in the UK, and employment or education history for up to three years. Certain projects will require the successful candidate to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance, which involves additional vetting and evidence submission.
