Although physically demanding, the job is varied, involves supporting the team with fish surveys which may involve some wading and boat work in rivers. It also involves collecting environmental samples and data from rivers and coastal waters. You may work alone for the majority of the time but part of a supportive team.
We will train you to collect samples and data using relevant equipment and entering data on smart phone or tablet technology.
The job will involve driving, lifting and carrying samples and equipment, working in and near water. You will need to follow operational guidance and adhere to current Health and Safety procedures.
Visibly representing the Environment Agency your professional approach with the public and customers is important.
This role could have a strong fish-focused element for a candidate with the right experience.
