Job Description

 

Key Responsibilities:
Feeding, watering, and monitoring horses and other breeding animals.
Grooming, bathing, and maintaining the general cleanliness of horses.
Mucking out stables to a high standard.
Keeping barns, paddocks, yards, and surrounding areas clean and tidy.
Cleaning and maintaining stocks, breeding sheds, treatment areas, and equipment.
Laundry duties including towels, wraps, and veterinary supplies.
Carrying out basic maintenance of fencing, water systems, and stable equipment.
Following veterinary instructions and assisting with general animal care as required.

Essential Skills & Experience:
Confident horse handling skills, particularly around stallions and broodmares.
Ability to muck out efficiently and to a high standard.
Good knowledge of equine behaviour and safe handling procedures.
Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Reliable, hardworking, and attentive to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to follow instructions and maintain high welfare standards.

Working Hours:
Friday: 8:00am – 12:00pm
Saturday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
Sunday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
Monday: 8:00am – 12:00pm

Total: 26 hours per week
