Primary duties: Undertaking protected species surveys, protected species mitigation, and Ecological Watching Briefs. Opportunities for additional habitat works may be available.
Requirements: A full, clean driver's licence and/or access to a vehicle as the works will require travel to sites across the south of England. A keen interest in ecology and desire/ability to learn ecological survey techniques is essential.
Benefits: Training for protected species survey techniques including bats, reptiles, amphibians, breeding birds, badgers, dormice, water voles, otters and invertebrates. Experience can be put towards personal class European Protected Species Licences. Training provided for ecological mitigation and ecological enhancements for protected species.
Minimum £12/hour, increasing dependent on experience. Where site work requires overnight stays, accommodation will be provided. Travel stipend available at 45p/mile where applicable (to be discussed).
