Location: Near Alresford, Hampshire
Position: Live-Out / FreelanceHours: Part-time (Seasonal hours: Afternoons only in Summer (May to Sep / Mornings only in Winter (Oct to Apr), including rostered weekends). Potential for more hours following a successful probation period.
Rate: Competitive, paid hourly or daily based on experience
The Role: Working alongside the owner, you will maintain top-tier welfare standards while learning the commercial ropes of running a professional livery facility. Your key responsibilities will include: Horse Welfare: Managing daily routines, feed plans, turnout schedules, and health checks.
Yard Logistics: Coordinating visits from vets, farriers, and suppliers, alongside stock control.
Client Relations: Acting as a professional, supportive main point of contact for our livery clients.
Riding Duties: Opportunities to ride clients' horses, depending on your riding experience and ability.
Business Operations: Assisting with the daily administrative tasks and smooth running of the yard.
RequirementsStatus: Registered as self-employed with your own public liability insurance.
Experience: Strong background in grooming, horse handling, and professional livery environments.
Flexibility: Able to commit to the seasonal shifts (afternoons in summer and mornings in winter).
Communication: Confident, polite, and professional when interacting with clients and professionals.
Logistics: Full UK driving licence and reliable transport (this is a live-out position).
