General Farm Worker

Job Description

 

We are a small family farm with around 50 sheep, 40 chickens & ducks and a few goats. We make hay and also have holiday accommodation and a small caravan site.

We are looking for someone to help look after the animals and also be involved in general maintenance work on the farm to keep it tidy for our guests.

The role could potentially be for up to 6 months, but candidates seeking summer employment will also happily be considered.

We can be flexible on which days are worked, but on the days being worked the hours need to cover the morning and/or afternoon animal feeding times. The number of hours worked can also be flexible.

Experience of basic farm animal husbandry required.
Experience of powered garden equipment required.
Tractor driving beneficial but not essential.

It would be beneficial that the applicant holds a driving licence and has a vehicle due to the location of the farm.
