GRAYS, Ridge Top Lane, Froxfield,, Hampshire

£150 for one day, negotiable
This job when done well looks very good and mirrors the borrowed landscape of the South Downs. The aim is to achieve an informal rounded billowy shape reminiscent of the whale back shapes of the nearby South Downs. The person must be enthusiastic and imaginative and ideally have carried out Cloud Pruning/Topiary before. Photos of previous examples would be helpful. It would be ideal for someone who is keen to get involved in practical amenity horticultural maintenance especially the pruning side and has a natural flair for this type of pruning. As you know Lonicera nitida is fast growing and we normally hard prune it as it takes cutting into older wood. Normally takes one person one day annually to complete and on the plus side all removal of arisings are done by me after the pruning has been completed. Probably still possible to determine where it was cut back to last time if that would help as guidance. There are also a few small areas of Snowberry running into the Lonicera which get shaped at the same time and one native Rose specimen which gets rounded. No ladder or step ladder work needed just ground work. If required look see before accepting okay but need to book time/date.
