Job Description
We are looking for an Assistant Technical Manager to take responsibility for crop protection at our Madley container site and our field-grown roses sites.
Key tasks:
Plan and oversee crop protection and herbicide programmes
Take responsibility for the biological control programme at the Madley site, including distribution and subsequent monitoring
Maintain hygiene standards across the Madley site
Train and develop the Madley cultural team in pest/disease monitoring and the technical aspects of growing
Ensure regular P&D crop walks are completed
Ensure accurate records are kept for compliance with Quality Management systems
Run nursery trials on crop protection products
This position would also suit someone who has agronomy or food crop experience and would enjoy the challenge of working with ornamental crops.
